Michael Perreault

Legal Assistant

Expert in criminal law and all types of litigation

Michael is originally from the Detroit area; but as a child he moved to Traverse City with his family. He graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 2001. Upon completion, he joined the United States Marines. Between various requirements for the Marines, he managed to attend and graduate, with honors, from Northwestern Michigan College.

In the course of his contribution to our country, Michael was stationed on three different continents and was able to experience a variety of culture. As a testament to his dedication to the United States of America, Michael is an Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veteran. Throughout his undertakings, he has gained experience in a wide variety of civil matters.

Prior to being employed as a legal assistant at Elhart Law Office, Michael could be found at the courthouse, observing. To fuel his thirst to gain knowledge in the field of law, Michael would watch court proceedings open to the public. It was there, at the Grand Traverse County Courthouse, that Michael learned of a possible position with the firm. He promptly dropped off his resume and after an interview, was offered the position.

Michael is a recent graduate of Madonna University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Law. He has since taken and passed his LSAT and is currently attending the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

When Michael is not studying or working, he can be found scuba diving, four-wheeling, or mountain biking.
